This is a small but delicate painting of Foxglove flower that was painted in my sketchbook. I did a close-up study of this flower by adding in the characteristic dots and lines on the petals on the flower. The background is a light wash of pink, yellow, and blue that are not meant to overwhelm the eyes with too much colour. I like adding minimal colour where I can so that the attention of the piece can be focused solely on the main subject; the Foxgloves. This fun-sized painting will add a pleasant accent to any table top in a living room or work space.
