​Hydrangeas always demand to be seen, and always come with its lushness and richness in colour and form. My approach to painting these Hydrangeas was to paint loosely and freely.These Hdrangeas were painted in a loose manner. I painted with soft colours, and then built up the colours by layering with stronger/ richer colours on the upper layers. Not all Hydrangeas were painted in the same manner where I alternated between defining certain petals, and keeping other petals undefined and loose. I think that the variation in petals allows the painting to be more visually interesting.
