I love how peony petals fold, fall, and undulate so gracefully. In this painting, I captured the interesting angles of peonies with their dancing petals. When I was painting these peonies, I observed and replicated the delicate creases of each petal with my brush. I wanted to show how thin, curly lines can bring out the organic form of the peony petals.
