Watercolour Landscape Countryside painting "Lush" Art print

I painted this scene and titled it "Lush" because I was very inspired by the Japanese landscape that I saw in both the Japanese animation films and when I was travelling around Kyushu, Japan's third largest island that is known for its lush greenery (among other things). I was so in awe of the different types of green that I was immersed in. Everywhere I went, I saw different shades of green, it was unreal and unlike the green that I see back home here in Singapore. It was my first time witnessing how green, as a colour, could be so vast and nuanced. It was simply amazing! To illustrate the green in all its splendour, I used my premium Holbein gouache paint set to paint these beautiful types of green. I used a range of different greens such as Viridian green, Emerald green, Turquoise green, Sap green, and mixed greens, browns, and blues to achieve the different types of green that I saw in the Kyushu landscape. It was an amazing experience! Who knew that green could be so complicated but rewarding at the same time?!   

This print was made on high-quality, durable, and thick paper with a glossy finish. Every print is titled and signed at the bottom of the print (in the border area, as per print signing convention).
